A traditional blend, the three varietals (Grenache, Shiraz and Mourvédre) are aged separately then once mature, they’re blended for balanced flavour, texture and complexity. Prior to bottling they’re allowed time to fully integrate, creating a full flavoured fruit-driven GSM which can be enjoyed now or over the coming decade.
The 2019 1864 Greenock GSM excites the nose with vivid plum, rose florals, candy spice and blackberry. A full bodied but smooth palate of intense juicy berry flavours drive the wine with supple tannins adding a structure and complexity. A wonderfully long finish completes this well-balanced vintage.
