The 2018 Greenock Nero d’Avola is the inaugural release of this varietal from the vineyard. This variety is close to Angelo’s heart as it hails from the same region as his family in Southern Italy. The wine is deep red in colour, with an inviting aroma with notes of red cherry, wild rose, sweet spice and fresh raspberry. A full palate but delicate to medium in weight, with generous explosive flavours of red and black berries, sage, red plum and a hint of cinnamon, with a crisp lingering finish complemented by a tantalising acid structure leaving the palate fresh. A hallmark of this stunning wine.
