BLOCK III SHIRAZ

Block III is a limited release wine with a strong sense of place. The grapes grown on this block, the third planted by the original owners in the 1860’s, impart distinctive character to the resultant wine, not found in any other blocks on the vineyard. Situated on the banks of the Greenock Creek, lined by shading gum trees, plus several quartz reefs traverse the block which legend has it contain gold. In fact, history records the early settlers panning the creek for gold but unfortunately Angelo hasn’t been lucky enough to turn up a gold nugget. Not that he’s looking all that hard, as the wine produced from this block is precious enough.

Is the creek, the gum trees casting their morning shadows over the vines, or have the vine roots discovered a golden secret, who knows? But what Angelo does know is the wine produced from this block is special.
